5th of July 2011 we left Amsterdam behind and drove to Vilnius, Lithuania to greet Kestas family and drop off our cute 3 rabbits for a longer holidays at Kestas mom's place 
In the village visiting grand parents and enjoying the beautiful nature, the boat needed some serious cleaning, but Kestutis sorted it out and we went on the lake to do some fishing!
Kestas mom has the cutest doggie, named Pretty.
The cake is Sakotis and a Lithuanian tradition, normally made by spinning a stick whilst dripping on the dough. In the picture is a really tiny version, the ones used for celebrations are above 1 meter tall and can weigh more than 50 kilo!! All the grandma's in the photos are Kestutis grandmas sisters, they were all really cute chatting away in Lithuanian all day long!
Kestutis other grandparents also lives in a village nearby so we stopped for a visit and his dad was also there 
After the village laziness we went for some proper adventure in the river Vilnele close to Vilnius, kayaking for around 8 hours with friends in 4 kayaks.
Some of us were not that lucky, the kayak was sitting in the tree until the help arrived When Kestutis was trying to help getting the kayak loose the flip flop took a permanent swim, never saw it again!
After a couple of fun weeks in Lithuania we took the bus to Riga, Latvia and from there the overnight bus to St Petersburg, our first stop in Russia.
